We’ve been semi-following the demise of Michigan Brewing Company on this site.
Now, Miller Brewing Company confirms their purchase of the brewery’s equipment and MBC brands. Personally, I doubt the brand names, such as High Seas IPA, Mackinac Pale Ale, etc. will ever see the light of day under their tutelage.
In addition, CraftBev International, representing the Pierre Celis family, has confirmed their re-purchase of the Celis brands for a re-launch out of Texas, which had been owned by the downfallen brewery since 2002. These brands WILL undoubtably live again.
Here’s more commentary on the entire situation and it’s “meaning” in the craft beer world.
